How to calculate the capacity of the freeze drying

To determine the required capacity of a freeze dryer, two critical parameters must first be established: the total daily throughput of raw material, and the processing cycle time per batch. The required single-unit capacity can then be estimated by the following formula: Required capacity per unit≈ Total daily input /(Number of units × Number of batches per day per unit) Kemolo offers 8 series of freeze dryers in various specifications, suitable for a wide range of materials including food products (fruits and vegetables, coffee, dairy products, health supplements, seafood, meat, and prepared meals), chemical raw materials, plant extracts, and pharmaceuticals. Currently, no more than 3 to 5 manufacturers worldwide are capable of producing industrial freeze dryers with a capacity of 5,000 kg or more per batch.
